Philips Horticulture LED Solutions has partnered with cannabis-focused Cultivation Solutions Group (CSG)

Eindhoven, the Netherlands - Signify (Euronext: LIGHT), the world leader in lighting, has signed a Philips Horticulture LED Solutions partnership agreement with Cultivation Solutions Group (CSG), a horticulture consulting company located just west of St. Louis, Missouri, United States. This officially enables CSG to offer the Philips LED lighting portfolio of greenhouse and indoor lighting solutions to the Midwest area. By adding CSG to the Philips horticulture partner network the reach in the region expands and enables deeper penetration into the cannabis industry. CSG offers hands-on education and training for growers at their cannabis training facility.

CSG is the sister company of Birkel Electric, a prominent commercial electrician in the Midwest with more than 50 years of experience. The company includes a team of experienced, collaborative, and highly technical professionals who focus primarily on cultivation within the ever-changing and growing cannabis industry and extend their knowledge to other grower segments. The facility, which includes a small product installation area, is used to showcase focused solutions, share insights about best practices, and highlight industry-leading products and services to support growing facilities across the U.S.

The partnership was signed during MJBizCon 2023 and officially enables CSG to offer the Philips LED lighting portfolio of indoor and greenhouse lighting solutions to the Midwest area. “We are very excited to be part of the Philips horti partner network and partnering with the most reliable lighting provider,” said Mike Birkel, co-founder of CSG. “Working with our clients from concept through construction, we are focused on providing solutions that fill in gaps, minimize surprises, and mitigate risks, all while maximizing value and maintaining budgets. Philips horticulture LED has been proven to help growers achieve higher yields and faster growth cycles. This fits with our approach.”

Udo van Slooten, business leader Philips horticulture LED team, adds: “CSG offers a proactive ‘total project design’ from consultation, installation, to after-sales service and support. We believe they will ensure growers have ready access to the most reliable LED lighting products that drive production and efficiency, especially in the Midwest. By providing growers with Philips horticulture offerings, including GrowWise Control System, we will give growers control over their light intensity while managing their energy consumption.”
